DON'T FORGET TO REREGISTER YOUR STUDENT - REGISTRATION DAY IS AUG 29th BETWEEN 8:15am - 1:00pm

 While you have been enjoying your summer vacation, Newland has been busy getting ready for the first day of school on Wednesday, September 6th.  Part of our preparation will be planning ways to streamline the collection of information from our students, also known as the “First Day Packet.”  As a result, we have transitioned to an online process that will need to be completed before the first day of school, called Aeries Re-registration.  When the first day of school arrives, you will not need to spend an hour reading and signing documents because almost all of it will already have been completed by you.

Parents are now able to log on to Aeries parent portal to update contact information (which is the same as the Emergency Card), as well as, read and “sign” almost all of the documents that typically come home and provide authorization/consent.  Reading and completing all of the necessary documentation is time consuming and does not have to be completed in one sitting.  Please note the final step in the process involves printing and signing the bottom of a two-page enrollment document.

In order to complete this process, please follow the procedures outlined below before Tuesday, August 29th.  On August 29th, between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., bring the signed document to the school office during re-registration in order to receive your child’s class assignment. If you are unable to come on August 29, please bring it to our office after this date but no later than Friday, September 1. If you do not complete the process ahead of time, you will be asked to do so before your child’s class assignment is given.  Parents who arrive with the document in hand will experience expedited processing.   (This process does not work on mobile devices, including phones and tablets).

Re-registration Guidelines

  1.            Type the following address in the address bar (NOT search bar): https://portal.fvsd.us
  2.            Log in using the e-mail and password you established when you created the account.
  3.            Assistance will be available starting Tuesday, August 22nd hours of 9:00 – 2:00.
 If you do not have access to a working computer and/or printer, it is not a problem.  Please stop by our school office on or after August 22nd, as we have computers and printers you may use for this purpose.
