Online Enrollment Dates

• 2025–26 School Year: Online enrollment remains open.
• 2026–27 School Year: Online enrollment begins on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

TK & Kindergarten Eligibility

California law requires students to enroll based on their birthdate.

School Year	Transitional Kindergarten (TK)	Kindergarten
2025–26	Child must turn 4 by September 1, 2025	Child must turn 5 by September 1, 2025
2026–27	Child must turn 4 by September 1, 2026	Child must turn 5 by September 1, 2026

Before Enrolling

1. Review the Grade Placement Chart for age-based requirements.
2. Use the FVSD School Locator to identify the assigned school.
3. Review the Parents’ Guide to Immunizations to ensure compliance.

New Student Enrollment Process (4 Steps)

Step 1 of 4: Complete Online Enrollment

• Complete Aeries Online Enrollment for the student(s).
• Print the confirmation pages.
• Device note: Please use a computer. Aeries may not function properly on phones or tablets.

Step 2 of 4: Complete Additional Forms

• Permanent Record Card

• Oral Health Form -- NOT required at time of enrollment.  The form must be completed during a regularly scheduled dental visit and submitted by May of the TK or Kindergarten year.

Step 3 of 4: Documents to Submit

Please prepare copies of the following documents. Original documents should be retained for personal records.

Required Documents (All Families)

• Parent/guardian photo ID
• Two (2) proofs of residence (accepted documents)

• Student Immunization Record

• Proof of student's age (accepted documents)

If Applicable

• Most recent report card

• SBAC test results

• GATE documentation

• IEP or 504 Plan

Step 4 of 4: How to Submit

• Drop off completed forms and required documents at the Newland Elementary School Office. To avoid busy pick-up and drop-off times, the best time is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
